Case study: HIVED achieves 99.94% on-time delivery for Grubby meal kits
Plants never shipped so good
HIVED began shipping for Grubby in May 2022. That means all deliveries are used with an emission-free vehicle, either bike, car or van. As a meal kit company, it is crucial that Grubby deliveries are made on time and successfully on the first try, as otherwise, meal kits may not be delivered as fresh as they should, and families are left without the food they had been expecting.
Beyond aligning on sustainability, HIVED offers Grubby a dependable delivery service, with a 99.94% on-time delivery and 99.46% successful first-time delivery.
Paul O’Byrne, Technical Director at Grubby, commented:
“HIVED are just great. They are extremely helpful, responsive and provide both us and our customers a great service. The fact they are also zero emissions is an amazing bonus”.
Jack Follett, Growth Lead at HIVED, added:
“Grubby represents just the kind of business we love working with: focused on an amazing product that has sustainability at the heart. The Grubby team has been fantastic to work with, and we’ve had a lot of fun along the way while making a massive impact. We are thrilled to continue to work together as both of our companies grow and expand across the country”.
Meal kits with a mission
Grubby began back in 2019, when founder Martin Holden-White, had a dawning realisation. When Martin first started venturing into plant-based cooking, he found it rather challenging and overwhelming: ingredients were hard to source, dishes weren’t filling enough, and online recipes were too complicated for beginners.
A growing sense of dissatisfaction with the amount of waste created within the food industry also led the company to embrace sustainability at its core. They are doing everything they can to reduce unnecessary plastics and use materials and processes that have as little impact as possible. All packaging is 100% recyclable, compostable, ethically sourced, and produced in the UK in 95% of cases.
Partnering to support our communities
In addition to delivering Grubby boxes to homes across London, HIVED and Grubby have also teamed up to deliver and donate to food banks in London, such as the Felix Project.
The Felix Project collects fresh, nutritious food that cannot be sold. They deliver this surplus food to charities and schools so they can provide healthy meals and help the most vulnerable in our society.
