Making sustainability the standard
Decarbonising parcel delivery
The impact of parcel delivery
Road transport is responsible for the most GHG emissions of any sector in the UK, and global parcel delivery is expected to grow by 78%, by 2030.
The 100% electric difference
From retailer collection to customer delivery, every stage of the HIVED parcel journey is made by electric vehicles and powered by renewable energy.
Our quantified approach
Our Life Cycle Assessment shows that HIVED delivery reduces carbon emissions by up to 76%, compared to diesel delivery.
Reduce carbon emissions by up to 76%
Our Life Cycle Assessment accounts for all emissions in our network and has found that HIVED’s methods of delivery are significantly more sustainable.
We regularly partner with businesses and organisations who are working on pioneering solutions such as tyre recycling plants and particulate matter collection devices.
With 1% of global emissions coming from cardboard delivery boxes, HIVED is a proud member of the Elemental Accelerator to work on developing circular ecommerce packaging infrastructure.
Reducing our impact means teamwork
To support our mission, it’s crucial that everyone at HIVED constantly considers our impact on our communities, people and the planet. To support, our Impact Department and the Green Team, a group of passionate volunteers from all over the business, continually drive sustainable initiatives, both internally and in the wider community.
Always learning how to improve our impact
At HIVED, our impact journey is ever-improving. Right now, electric vehicles are by far the best option available for the mass market, but they’re not without environmental impact and we’re continually learning new ways to reduce the impact of parcel delivery.
